Dundee United vs Hibernian 12/08/20
12 August 2020
Newly-promoted Dundee United will be looking to maintain an unbeaten start to their 2020/21 Scottish Premiership campaign when they take on Hibernian at Tannadice Park this midweek.
After being held to a 1-1 home draw to St. Johnstone on the opening matchday of the season, the hosts picked up a narrow 1-0 away win over Motherwell on Matchday 2. As a result, seven of their previous eight competitive fixtures have now featured under 1.5 goals (W2, D4, L2), including the last five. At home in 2020, Dundee have lost just once in six outings (W1, D4), with five of those games seeing both teams hit the net. Furthermore, the ‘Terrors’ boast a solid H2H home record over the past nine such clashes (W5, D3, L1), netting over 1.5 goals on six of those occasions.
Meanwhile, the visitors have enjoyed a bright start to their league campaign, as a 4-1 demolition of Livingston last time out made it two from two for Hibernian this season. A ‘goal-friendly’ triumph at Livingston also means that six of Hibernian’s previous seven competitive fixtures have seen over 2.5 goals and both teams on the scoresheet. In turn, the ‘Hibees’ have been a pretty exciting team to watch away from home lately. All five of their previous trips have witnessed both sides hit the net and over 2.5 goals, with three producing at least four goals.
