Young Boys vs Dinamo Zagreb 23/08/18
23 August 2018
After an aggressive start in the Swiss Super League, where they have achieved four wins in the opening four fixtures, Young Boys will host the Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb at the Stadede Suisse in Bern, hoping to make a decisive step towards the Champions League group stage promotion. The current Swiss champions are desperate to reach the most prominent club competition in Europe following years of suffering, as they’ve had to leave in the shadows thanks to Basel’s dominance in the domestic champions over the last decade or so. Gerardo Seoane’s team has taken part in six warm-up matches during the off-season, losing two of them, while playing out one draw and achieving three wins, including an encouraging 3-0 triumph over Feyenoord. Meanwhile, the most successful Croatian team in the last fifteen years, who have been a regular participant in both European club competitions over the last few seasons, will try to repeat the same success as two years ago when they’ve managed to qualify for the Champions League group stage. The Blues have won five straight matches in all competitions, including an impressive two victories over Astana in the qualifications, as they look to maintain an outstanding form.
According to the reports, both managers will have all of their key players fit and ready for the encounter.
