Villarreal will try to extend their unbeaten La Liga (LL) run against Sevilla to five games (W2, D2) when the two sides lock horns at the Estadio de la Ceramica this week.

The hosts have turned their fortunes around since the league’s restart, going from three consecutive LL defeats to three successive victories, all of which have yielded the identical 1-0 scoreline. In turn, ten of Villarreal’s 12 league matches since the turn of the year have ended separating the sides by under 1.5 goals (W7, D1, L4). Additionally, none of their last six LL home fixtures produced a draw (W4, L2), with five of those results (win/loss) yielding a single-goal margin.
