Valencia vs Deportivo La Coruna 20/05/18

20 May 2018

Valencia’s form after securing Champions League promotion has dropped notably, as they’ve failed to win six consecutive times in La Liga before a 1-0 victory over Girona last weekend, and the Bats are looking to close a successful season with another win over Deportivo La Coruna at Mestalla. The Blues and Whites are one of the biggest disappointments of the season, considering they’ve lost any chance of avoiding relegation almost a month ago thanks to miserable displays especially on the road. Marcelino García Toral has done incredible things with Valencia ever since he took charge of the team last year, managing to bring them back to the most elite club competition in Europe. On the other hand, Clarence Seedorf failed to shake things up in Deportivo, who have been struggling from the very start of the season, as they currently have a -40 goal difference, with only Las Palmas, having a worse statistic then them this year. Additionally, the Turks’ last victory over Los Che dates back to 2014 while their last league win at Mestalla dates back to 2005 clearly showing they suffer a lot against the 2004 La Liga champions.

Francis Coquelin, Andreas Pereira, and Javier Jimenez are yet to recover from injuries and won’t be able to help their teammates. As for the visitors, Eneko Bóveda, Sidnei, and Fede Cartabia will remain on the sidelines due to physical problems.
