Udinese vs Inter 06/05/18

6 May 2018

A tragical 3-2 defeat to Juventus at the Giuseppe Meazza last weekend might prove costly to Inter, as they now need to win all of the remaining games in the league hoping Lazio or Roma would drop some points until the end of the season and clear them the way to the Champions League promotion spot. The first obstacle on that road will be Udinese, who are in a miserable form, considering their last Serie A victory dates back to the end of January. Since then, the Friulian White-blacks have lost twelve out of fourteen matches, drawing two times, compromising their chances of avoiding relegation that way. After five consecutive losses at the Dacia Arena, Igor Tudor’s team are desperate to achieve a positive outcome against the Nerazzurri, who have failed to win three out of their previous five games on the road, losing 1-0 to Torino in the process. However, Udinese are not comfortable playing against Inter, as it was 2013 when they last managed to beat the Milanese giants at home in the league.

Gabriele Angella is the only injured player in the home squad, while Spalletti won’t have Roberto Gagliardini, at his disposal, after the Italian midfielder picked up a hamstring injury. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Matías Vecino have to skip the encounter due to suspensions.
