Tottenham Hotspur vs Inter Milan 04/08/19

4 August 2019

Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for their final match of the 2019 International Champions Cup. The two sides faced off in the Champions League group stage last season, with both teams achieving all three points in front of their respective home fans.

It will be Tottenham’s final warm-up game ahead of the 2019-20 campaign. Although the Spurs started their ICC adventure off on the right foot, securing a tight 3-2 victory over Juventus, they’ve been edged out by Manchester United 2-1 in the second match. Still, the London giants come into this fixture after wrapping up the Audi Cup trophy, beating Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to the flattering award. Three of Tottenham’s four pre-season games have produced over 2.5 goals and seen both teams score, with all of them featuring precisely one goal in the first half.

Meanwhile, the Serie A heavyweights have suffered two defeats in as many ICC outings. After a 1-0 loss to Manchester United, they’ve failed to beat Juventus in a penalty shootout after the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Still, Antonio Conte and his men head to London after beating Paris Saint-Germain on penalties, with that encounter ending in a 1-1 stalemate too. As a result, Inter’s only win in 90 minutes this pre-season dates back to their first summer outing and a 2-1 triumph over Lugano, which was also the only match under Conte that the Nerazzurri managed to score more than one goal per match.
