Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea 25/11/18

25 November 2018

Saturday’s Premier League action concludes with a blockbuster, heavyweight clash at the Wembley Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur prepare to take on Chelsea.

The hosts come into the game in good form, considering they have won six out of the previous seven Premier League battles, having lost only to Manchester City in the process. The Spurs have secured four consecutive triumphs across all competitions before the international break, notching nine goals and conceding four. Mauricio Pochettino’s players are having problems playing at Wembley, as they’ve lost two out of four home events so far. Harry Kane and his fellow club colleagues scored an average of 1.67 goals per match, while Hugo Lloris conceded an average of 0.83 goals per game. Tottenham have five clean sheets while they’ve failed to find the back of the net just once so far.

The Blues are unbeaten in all of their 12 Premier League games, which puts them on a par with Manchester City and Liverpool. With just eight goals conceded so far, Kepa Arrizabalaga holds the second-best defensive record in the English top flight, as he kept a clean sheet five times so far. Meanwhile, Hazard and company have failed to find the back of the net twice this season although Chelsea scored a minimum of two goals on nine occasions in the Premier League. Moreover, the London side won four out of the five road clashes up to this point, allowing just one goal in the process, which makes them the best defensive road squad along with the Citizens.

The last five head-to-head meetings between these sides have ended with a winner, with Tottenham tasting defeat three times during that period.
