Stuttgart vs Eintracht Frankfurt 03/11/18

03 November 2018

Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt are set for a face-to-face meeting at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, as the hosts hope to end a 3-game Bundesliga losing streak.

With a record of one triumph, two draws, and six losses, the Reds are currently nailed to the bottom of the table along with Fortun Dusseldorf. The Swabians also hold the worst defensive record in the Bundesliga, having conceded a total of 21 goals in the opening ten fixtures, as they’ve only kept a clean sheet once this season. Additionally, with just six goals scored, they are the second-worst offensive team in the German top flight after Schalke. Not only Stuttgart lost the previous three league clashes, but they’ve also allowed 11 goals during that period, having notched barely one in the process.

On the other hand, the Eagles are undefeated in the past six games across all competitions, with the last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Nurnberg ending their 5-game winning run. With 14 points after the opening nine rounds, Sportgemeinde Eintracht currently sit in the 7th place with a 3-point deficit to the Champions League promotion zone. After Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach, Adi Hutter’s players have scored the most of all German sides, having notched a total of 20 goals so far. However, apart from a 2-0 triumph over Freiburg on the opening matchday, Launische Diva have failed to keep a clean sheet on the road, having conceded eight goals away from the Commerzbank-Arena.
