Seongnam vs Daegu 07/06/20

07 June 2020

Winless in their last three K League 1 H2Hs (D1, L2), Seongnam welcome Daegu to the Tancheon Stadium, hoping to maintain an unbeaten start to the 2020/21 season (W2, D2).

Notably, all four of Seongnam’s opening league matches have featured under 2.5 total goals, with three of them yielding the identical 0-0 halftime scoreline. The hosts’ action often sparks into life after the halftime break, as all four of their top-flight goals scored so far came in the second half of play. Taking into account their results from the final stretch of the last season, they’ve won just once in their five previous league home fixtures (D1, L3), with three of them seeing over 2.5 goals and both teams on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, the visitors are still seeking their elusive first win of the new campaign, having drawn three times in the opening four league matches (L1). Just like Seongnam, all of Daegu’s league goals (two) have come in the second half of play, although they have yet to find the back of the net away from home. Indeed, immense problems in the final third have seen Daegu draw a blank in three of their last four road trips. However, Lee Byung-keun’s men have suffered just one defeat in their nine previous league away games, last season included (W3, D5).
