In-form Real Madrid will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga (LL) H2Hs with Real Valladolid to 11 games (W8, D2) when the two sides lock horns at the Estadio José Zorrilla this weekend.

A shock 2-1 away loss to Tenerife in their midweek’s Copa del Rey fixture now means that the hosts have failed to pick up a win (in 90 minutes) in five consecutive games in all competitions (D4, L1). Moreover, the ‘Pucelanos’ are winless in eight straight LL matches (D5, L3), mainly thanks to their immense difficulties in the attacking third. In fact, they’ve drawn a blank in six of those eight games, with two of three goals they scored in the other two coming inside the final 15 minutes of action. Real’s away action usually sparks into life after the break, with 63% of their LL goals scored on the road arriving in the second half.
