Poland vs Lithuania 13/06/18
13 June 2018
Poland will host Lithuania at the PGE Narodowyin Warsaw following a disappointing 2-2 draw with modified Chile side last weekend. The White and Reds, who finished top of their respective qualifying group failed to capitalize on a two-goal lead against La Roja, who managed to level the score through the likes of Valdes and Albornoz. It was Poland’s third friendly match this year, and the second one they’ve failed to win after a 1-0 loss to Nigeria. Adam Nawałka is desperate to secure a victory against notably weaker Lithuanian side that finished the qualification process with six defeats and only one win, before making a trip to Russia. The Baltic nation participated in five international friendlies this year, losing three of them, including a 1-0 defeat to Iran last week, and Lewandowski and his fellow countrymen wouldn’t find a better opportunity that this to kick-start a new winning cycle.
Kamil Glik, who spent the entire game against Chile on the bench might start from the first minute as well as Arkadiusz Milik, who replaced Karol Linetty at the half-time of the same match. On the other hand, Edgaras Jankauskas’ team consists mainly of players that play in the domestic league, which should make things easier for Poland.
