Parma vs Torino 01/10/19

1 October 2019

Two sides that are yet to play out a draw this Serie A (SA) season will face-off at the Stadio Ennio Tardini as Parma take on Torino in front of the home crowd.

Fresh from a 1-0 home triumph over Sassuolo, the hosts will try to post back-to-back SA wins that have been eluding them since November 2018. Furthermore, the Crusaders have won just five of 24 league outings this calendar year, four of which have seen them overcome their rivals by a single-goal margin. Unprolific as they are, the Emilians have scored one goal or less in all three of their SA home games this term, failing to find the back of the net in the first half each time. Although they’ve struggled to beat Torino in their last two SA H2Hs here (D1, L1), Parma enjoy facing the Maroons on home turf having won five consecutive league H2Hs here prior.

Meanwhile, the visitors have halted a two-game SA losing streak with a 2-1 comeback win over AC Milan at home last time out. That means that all five of Torino’s league results (win/loss) this term have been settled by a narrow one-goal margin. Four of those matches have seen the team that broke the deadlock eventually win the encounter, wit nine of 12 goals scored across those matches coming in the second half. Also, the Bulls have proved to be a tough nut to crack when away from home, as they’ve lost just three of 11 SA trips since the turn of the year (W3, D5, L3), with the majority of those games (7) featuring under 2.5 goals.
