Parma and Lazio go head-to-head at the Stadio Ennio Tardini this weekend, with the home side looking to post their first win in Serie A (SA) home H2Hs since 2012.

The hosts have overseen partial success in the league since the turn of the year (W2, D1, L2), with three of those four results (win/loss) seeing the winner on the day keep a clean sheet. In turn, five of Parma’s last six SA home matches (W3, D1, L2) have witnessed the winner (if any) shut the losing side out, with all three of the Crusaders’ wins in that period yielding the exact 2-0 scoreline. However, the Emilians have lost all six of their previous top-flight H2Hs with Lazio and have also failed to pick up a win in their last four SA home clashes against the same visitors (D2, L2). Frustratingly for the home fans, Parma have drawn a blank in three of their past four H2Hs, conceding over 1.5 goals in all four.

Although a goalless home draw with Hellas Verona at the midweek extended Lazio’s unbeaten league run to 14 games (W12, D2), the visitors have wasted a massive opportunity to reduce a four-point gap on table-toppers Juventus. Yet, the Biancocelesti have won five of their last six SA road fixtures (D1), with all of those successes coming via the same 2-1 scoreline. Curiously, the winner in said victories consistently came beyond the 80th minute, with three of them arriving no earlier than the 91st minute. The main reason for concern among the traveling fans is that Simone Inzaghi’s men have failed to keep a clean sheet in all nine of their previous league road trips, with 82% (nine) of their 11 SA away goals conceded coming before the halftime break.
