Parma vs Juventus 02/09/18

02 September 2018

Parma will host Juventus at the Stadio Ennio Tardini amid high tensions in the dressing room caused by a dreadful start of the season. The Crusaders have dropped a two-goal lead over Udinese at home in the first season’s fixture, only to see the match ending in a 1-1 draw, after which they suffered a stressful 1-0 defeat to SPAL on the road, failing to produce a single shot on target for the entire 90 minutes. Before taking part in the Serie A encounters, the Yellow and Blues have found themselves out of Coppa Italia thanks to a 1-0 loss to Pisa, which at the time was their third consecutive defeat in a row. Although Roberto D’Aversa hopes to get his team out of trouble, a match against the most dominant Italian team could barely come in handy. The Old Lady started the defending campaign with a tight 3-2 win over Chievo Verona on the road thanks to a stunning comeback in the final fifteen minutes, and they have transferred the great enthusiasm into the second round where they comfortably defeated Lazio at home by two goals to nil.

Gianni Munari, Alessandro Bastoni, Mattia Sprocati, Matteo Scozzarella, Amato Ciciretti, and Jonathan Biabiany are all sidelined with injuries in the home squad, while Leonardo Spinazzola, Mattia De Sciglio, and Moise Kean won’t be able to play for the visitors.
