Paris Saint-Germain vs Toulouse 25/11/18

25 November 2018

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to extend their mind-blowing 13-game league winning run, as they prepare to take on Toulouse at Parc des Princes.

As the only team to capture a maximum of 39 points, the reigning Ligue 1 champions are comfortably cruising towards another league title, considering they’ve already left the second-placed Lille 13 points behind. With 45 goals bagged so far, the Parisians hold the best goalscoring record in the French top flight, as they have scored an average of 3.46 goals per match. Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel’s players have conceded just seven goals in the previous 13 league games, which sees them as the best defensive team in Ligue 1. They allowed an average of 0.54 goals per match, having managed to keep a clean sheet seven times since the start of the season. Moreover, in the past five home encounters, PSG have notched 20 goals, while conceded just two in the process.

On the other hand, after dodging relegation last year, the visitors have started the new Ligue 1 campaign off on the right foot but have failed to maintain a good form over the course of the season. Le Téfécé have lost three out of the previous four league encounters while being held to a 1-1 draw to Strasbourg. Moreover, Toulouse’s last league triumph dates back to early September when they’ve outplayed Guingamp on the road. With just two clean sheets in the opening 13 Ligue 1 fixtures, Les Pitchouns share the second-worst defensive record with Rennes, as only Monaco failed to protect their net one time less than them. In the meantime, Alain Casanova’s players have struggled to find the back of the net five times this campaign, while they’ve barely managed three braces in the process.
