Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan 27/07/19

27 July 2019

The two European heavyweights go head-to-head at the Macau Olympic Complex Stadium as Paris Saint-Germain take on Inter Milan in a friendly fixture.

It will be PSG’s third friendly this summer (W1, D1), with both of their previous games seeing both teams score. Thomas Tuchel will be eager to see his team performing at the highest level against a high-quality opponent after overseeing his side’s struggling for form over the past few months. The Parisians have secured just four wins in their last 12 outings (W4, D4, L4), with 11 of those matches witnessing goals at both ends. Interestingly, while three of PSG’s four wins across that period saw them score three or more goals, all of their four defeats have seen them concede 3+ match goals.

Meanwhile, although the Serie A giants started their pre-season off on the right foot, beating the Swiss outfit Lugano 2-1, they come into this clash after failing to clinch a win in their last two games (D1, L1). Both of those matches have featured under 2.5 goals and witnessed precisely one goal in Inter’s net beyond the hour mark. Just like PSG, the Nerazzurri have been struggling for consistency lately (W4, D4, L2), although their games have not been as nearly as entertaining as PSG’s. Just four of Inter’s last ten matches have produced over 2.5 goals, even though seven of them have seen both teams score.
