Paris Saint-Germain welcome resurgent AS Monaco to the Parc des Princes in a massive Ligue 1 (L1) showdown this weekend.

PSG remain the only side in France’s top tier that is yet to play out a league draw this season, with Thomas Tuchel’s men picking up 15 wins in 18 L1 outings, losing the other three. Also, the Parisians have secured 11 wins in their last 12 competitive fixtures (D1), scoring over 3.5 match goals in the past six. Virtually untenable on home turf, the reigning L1 champions have 12 of 13 home games in all competitions so far this campaign (L1), beating their opponents to nil in all but two of those successes. Notably, PSG leave their rivals with very few chances to score, having shipped just three goals in nine L1 home games. Huge pre-match favorites, PSG will now be looking to post their sixth consecutive home victory over Monaco, with all five of their previous such triumphs coming via a multiple-goal margin.

Meanwhile, the visitors have hit a purple patch recently, racking up three wins in their previous four league outings (D1), with each of those triumphs seeing them score two or more goals. But, Monaco will have to improve their away form to boost their hopes of securing a top-three finish. Only 32% of their total league points have come away from home (nine of 28), with Leonardo Jardim’s side clinching just two wins in nine L1 road trips so far. A lack of goals on the road is another reason for Jardim to be wary, as his players have netted a miserly average of 0.77 per L1 away fixture, drawing a blank in two of their last four top-flight away matches.
