Osasuna vs Atletico Madrid 18/06/20

18 June 2020

Atletico Madrid travel to the Estadio El Sadar to take on Osasuna, looking to post their fourth consecutive victory in their La Liga (LL) H2H meetings.

Delivering action from the get-go, seven of Osasuna’s 14 LL home matches this season have featured at least one goal (scored/conceded) inside the opening 15 minutes of play. But, not exactly the best first-half performers, the hosts have managed to take the lead into the halftime break in just two of 14 league home fixtures. Indeed, much more aggressive in the second half, Los Rojillos have bagged 60% of their total LL home goals scored after the break, while allowing just 35% of their home goals conceded in the same interval. It’s not strange, then, that Osasuna lost only half of six LL home matches in which they’ve shipped the opening goal (W2, D1, L3).

Meanwhile, although they come into this clash on a run of six successive league games without a loss (W2, D4), the visitors have failed to seal three points in their last three top-flight outings. Furthermore, Los Colchoneros are still seeking their elusive first LL away victory in the new calendar year (D3, L2), having scored under 1.5 goals in four of their five LL road trips since the turn of the year. But, Diego Simeone’s men face an almost perfect opportunity to turn their fortunes around, as they take on a side they’ve beaten in four of their last five top-flight away H2Hs (L1).
