Netherlands vs Brazil 05/03/20
5 March 2020
The Netherlands W and Brazil W will face off in the Tournoi de France at the Stade du Hainaut, which will be their first H2H meeting since 2014.
The hosts have won six consecutive matches in the build-up to this clash, with each of those victories yielding a multiple-goal margin. Additionally, free-scoring ‘Leeuwinnen’ have found the net in both halves in all six of those successes, scoring over 3.5 goals on four of those occasions. The Netherlands’ airtight defense has kept a clean sheet in six of their last nine outings, although they’ve allowed over 1.5 goals in two of the other three. Impressively, since their last year’s Algarve Cup appearance that took place in March 2019, the ‘Oranje’ have lost only once in 17 games (W14, D2, L1), with 64.29% (nine) of those triumphs seeing them keep a clean sheet.
Meanwhile, the ‘Seleção’ have won five of their last six fixtures (D1), scoring over 1.5 goals in each of those successes. Quick-start Brazil have opened the scoring inside the first 15 minutes of play in four of their past five matches, adding at least one more goal before the break on three of those occasions. Moreover, ‘As Canarinhas’ have been almost impenetrable in the recent period, conceding just two goals in eight of their previous outings, with both of them arriving in the second half of play. Another clean sheet is on the cards, considering their only previous H2H produced a goalless 0-0 draw.
