Morocco vs Senegal 10/10/20
10 October 2020
Morocco and Senegal will lock horns at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in an international friendly meeting.
The hosts have racked up four consecutive matches without a loss (W3, D1) in the build-up to this meeting, scoring exactly three goals in each win. Morocco’s air-tight defense has kept five clean sheets in their last eight outings, conceding precisely once per game in two of the other three. High scoring has been a theme for ‘Les Lions de l’Atlas’ at home lately, as three of their previous four fixtures held on home soil saw one side score over 2.5 goals alone (W2, D1, L1). That’s a sharp contrast to Morocco’s home H2H clashes against Senegal, considering eight of nine such encounters have contained under 2.5 goals, with none seeing both teams on the scoresheet (W5, D3, L1).
Meanwhile, the visitors have gone from three consecutive games without a win (D2, L1) to back-to-back victories, both of which came via at least a two-goal margin. ‘Les Lions de la Téranga’ were hard to penetrate lately, having preserved a blank sheet in six of their last ten matches and conceded precisely once in the remaining four (W7, D2, L1). But, scoring has been an issue for Senegal, especially away from home, where they’ve netted under 1.5 goals in six of their last eight fixtures. Improving that record versus Morocco will be virtually impossible, as Senegal only managed to score one single goal in nine historical trips to the country.
