Montpellier and Paris Saint-Germain go head-to-head at the Stade de la Mosson, with the traveling side looking to post their first Ligue 1 (L1) victory at this venue since 2015.

Unbeaten in their last six L1 outings (W2, D4), the hosts will be looking to maintain a good run of form and possibly reduce a four-point gap on third-placed Lille. Indeed, ‘La Paillade’ can draw inspiration from their recent top-flight home H2H record against PSG (W2, D1), especially as both of their wins in that period saw them score precisely three goals. Michel Der Zakarian’s men have been unstoppable when playing at home lately, scoring at least three goals in four of their last five competitive games held here. Furthermore, Montpellier have racked up an eight-game unbeaten home run in all competitions since losing 1-0 to Rennes in the L1 curtain-raiser (W7, D1).

As for the visitors, they have won three consecutive league matches following a 2-1 away defeat to Dijon, scoring precisely two goals per game in each of those triumphs. Although they have not been as prolific as expected in the opening stages of those matches, the Parisians have been devastating in the final ten minutes of play, finding the net beyond the 84th minute twice during the above run. A potential worry for Thomas Tuchel could be PSG’s inability to keep a clean sheet away from home. They’ve allowed at least one goal in four of their last five competitive road trips, conceding over 1.5 match goals twice in the process.
