Manchester United vs Arsenal 06/12/18

06 December 2018

Wednesday’s Premier League action is projected to see a blockbuster, heavyweight clash at the Old Trafford as Manchester United host Arsenal in what’s going to be a must-win clash for Jose Mourinho.

Without a win in the previous three league games, the Red Devils have seen their Champions League promotion rivals open up a gap, and they are well aware that failure is not an option here. Though unbeaten at home in their last four matches, the 3-time Champions League winners have struggled to secure all three points against Wolverhampton and Crystal Palace in the run. With 23 goals conceded thus far, Jose Mourinho’s players have the worst defensive record of all top 15 teams in the English top flight, remaining at just two clean sheets after the opening 14 Premier League fixtures.

Meanwhile, under the tutelage of Unai Emery, the visitors are this season, racking up an outstanding 19-game lossless run across all competitions. After three straight draws, the Gunners have secured three consecutive wins, including an astonishing 4-2 victory over their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. Although they have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven successive Premier League encounters, Emery’s men have entertained the fans averaging 2.57 scored goals per match during the run. However, Arsenal lost both H2H meetings with Man Utd last year, while they failed to wrap up a triumph at Old Trafford four times in a row.
