Also, Wolves have won the biennial pre-season tournament, Premier League Asia Trophy, before taking participation in the EL Qualifiers. After beating Newcastle United 4-0 in the semi-finals, the Wanderers have defeated Manchester City in the final after a penalty shootout after the game ended in a 0-0 draw. What’s more, a run of impressive form since late April has seen Wolverhampton pull off seven wins in nine outings (W7, D1, L1) ever since, netting 2+ match goals five times while preventing their opponents from scoring over 1.5 match goals eight times in the process.
