Brighton & Hove Albion head to the King Power Stadium this midweek, seeking their elusive first Premier League (PL) victory over Leicester City (D1, L4).

The hosts are not enjoying the best of times, having picked up just one triumph from their last six league matches (D3, L2), drawing a blank on half (three) of those occasions. But, despite failing to win in two of their three previous PL home games (D1, L1), the Foxes are favorites to post back-to-back PL home wins for the first time since December, given that they’ve won four of their last five competitive H2Hs held at this venue (L1). Also, Brendan Rodgers’ men have shown the ability to bounce back after conceding the opening goal – Leicester returned 11 points (the division’s high) from seven PL home fixtures in which they’ve shipped the opener (W3, D2, L2).

Meanwhile, winless in seven consecutive PL road trips (D4, L3), the visitors have conceded exactly two goals in at least one half in seven of eight away losses this campaign, scoring one goal or less on each of those occasions. Particularly ponderous in the early stages, the Seagulls have yet to find the net inside the opening 15 minutes of play in the division’s 15 away matches this term. The clean-sheet theme seems highly unlikely, though, as all but two of Brighton’s last 11 PL road trips (W1, D4, L6) have seen both teams on the scoresheet. Even if they open the scoring here, as they did in five of 15 PL away games this season, Brighton could end up empty-handed – Graham Potter’s side failed to land three points in three such fixtures (W2, D1, L2).
