Fiorentina travel to the Stadio Olimpico this weekend, looking to put an end to a five-game winless run in their Serie A H2Hs with Lazio to an end (D2, L3).

A 3-2 away defeat to Atalanta last time out has struck a devastating blow to Lazio’s title hopes, as the hosts enter this round four points short of table-toppers Juventus. Furthermore, a loss in Bergamo brought Lazio’s outstanding 21-game unbeaten run in Serie A to a halt (W17, D4), although it’s marked a fourth consecutive league game in which they’ve scored at least twice. Still, the ‘Biancocelesti’ remain one of just two sides yet to lose at home this term (W11, D3), with nine of those triumphs producing a margin of at least two goals. In turn, Fiorentina have been struggling for goals away from home lately, drawing a blank in three of their seven previous league road trips while scoring precisely once in two of the other four. Much more aggressive after the break, Giuseppe Iachini’s players have netted the majority (63.16%) of their Serie A away goals scored so far in the second half of play (12/19). Indeed, the ‘Viola’ know how to put up a late show, managing to find the net inside the final 15 minutes of play in six of 13 league road trips (the division’s second-high).
