Kyrgyzstan and Japan go head-to-head in the FIFA 2020 World Cup qualifying for the top of Group F clash at the Stadion im. Dolena Omurzakova.

After a slow start to their qualifying campaign and a 1-0 away loss to Tajikistan, the hosts have bounced back, registering back-to-back wins over Myanmar and Mongolia. The White Falcons will try to settle the score with Japan following a dismal 4-0 loss in their only previous H2H in 2018 and extend their unbeaten home run to four games, friendlies included (W2, D1). Five of Kyrgyzstan’s last six home matches have produced over 2.5 goals and witnessed them bag at least two, with four of them seeing both teams score. Eight of a total of 11 goals scored/conceded in Kyrgyzstan’s three qualifying matches so far have come in the first half, with one coming in the final five minutes of the first half in each.

Meanwhile, the visitors comfortably sit at the top of the section as the only nation to pick up all three victories. What’s more, all of Japan’s qualifying wins have come via a multiple-goal margin and have been accompanied by clean sheets. Both of Japan’s away triumphs in the ongoing qualifying campaign have seen them score over 1.5 goals inside one of the halves and draw a blank in another one. Interestingly, after exiting the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the Samurai Blue have won all five of their continental trips without conceding a single goal. Hajime Moriyasu’s men have prevented their continental rivals from scoring in six of their seven such fixtures, scoring at least one goal in all of those matches.
