After seeing off Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, Juventus will be looking to return to winning ways in Serie A (SA) when they take on out-of-sorts Udinese at the Allianz Stadium.

Winless in their last two league outings (D1, L1), the hosts have slipped to second in the table and trail table-toppers Inter Milan by two points ahead of the kick-off. Before being held to a 2-2 draw to Sassuolo, the reigning holders have won all six of their previous SA home fixtures, with five of those triumphs coming via a single-goal margin. Still, free-scoring Bianconeri have netted 2+ match goals in all but one of their seven SA home games this term, opening the scoring six times in the process. Maurizio Sarri must be hunting all three points here, given that the Turin giants have won seven of their last eight top-flight home H2Hs with Udinese (W7, L1).

Meanwhile, the visitors have suffered five defeats in seven SA road trips this season (W1, D1, L5), conceding over 1.5 match goals in three of their last four such fixtures. The fact that Udinese drew a blank four times away from home already this term will hardly boost their hopes of halting a three-game losing streak against Juventus in Turin. They have not only failed to find the net in four of their last seven trips to Turin, but they’ve also scored precisely one goal per match in the remaining three. Hovering four points above the relegation zone, the Friulians are also winless in their previous four SA outings (D2, L2), scoring just two goals across those matches.
