Juventus vs Parma 03/02/19

03 February 2019

A few days after being destroyed by Atalanta in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, Juventus will take on Parma in the Serie A meeting that will take place at the Allianz Stadium this weekend.

The undisputed Serie A leaders enter this round as the only unbeaten team in the Italian top flight (W19, D2). The reigning holders have racked up a three-game SA winning run during which they’ve scored seven while conceded just two goals. What’s more, the Bianconeri have won six consecutive home games across all competitions, keeping a clean sheet five times in the process. However, in that period, Massimiliano Allegri’s men have scored exactly one goal per match on four occasions although breaking the deadlock before the halftime break four times. In spite of the recent problems in the final third, Juventus’ tally of 43 goals scored after the opening 21 Serie A fixtures is still a league second-high.

Sitting 12th in the table, the visitors are closer to the European promotion zone than the relegation territory in spite of two defeats in their last three Serie A outings. Remaining the only Italian team that is yet to play out a draw away from home (W5, D5), the Crusaders come into this meeting after securing two consecutive road triumphs. The Yellow and Blues don’t go after fanfare when winning as four of their five away victories saw them beating their rivals with a narrow 1-goal margin. Meanwhile, when they lose, they usually can’t get their name on the scoresheet as four of their five road defeats saw them failed to hit the back of the net.
