Juventus vs Lecce 27/06/20

27 June 2020

Juventus’ pursuit of a record-breaking ninth consecutive Serie A title continues this week, as they welcome out-of-sorts Lecce to the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus take the field after racking up four consecutive league victories, three of which yielded the identical 2-0 scoreline. The Allianz Stadium has been a fortress this season, with the reigning title-holders winning 12 of 13 Serie A fixtures here (D1), including the last six. Notably, five of those triumphs have produced at least a two-goal margin, with four yielding a clean sheet, too. Impressively, free-scoring Juventus have opened the scoring in all but one of their 13 league home matches this term and moved on to add at least one more on 11 of those occasions. Another landslide victory is on the cards now, given that the Bianconeri won three of their last five top-flight home H2Hs by a margin of two or more goals (D2).

On the other hand, the visitors head to Turin on a run of three straight Serie A defeats, all of which saw Lecce concede over 3.5 goals and produced a final margin of at least three goals. Furthermore, Fabio Liverani’s men have suffered four losses from their last five league road trips (W1), with each of those failures seeing Lecce concede over 1.5 goals and draw a blank. Indeed, the ‘Salentians’ will be desperate to open the scoring here, given that they lost seven of eight Serie A away matches in which they’ve shipped the opening goal (D1).
