Juventus vs Frosinone 16/02/19

16 February 2019

Juventus and Frosnine will face-off at the Allianz Stadium in quite contrasting circumstances. While the visitors look to cement the Serie A title, the visitors are desperate to escape the relegation zone for the first time since returning to the top flight.

The reigning holders comfortably top the Serie A table with an 11-point lead over second-placed Napoli, remaining the only unbeaten Italian team this term (W20, D3). The Turin giants boast an almost perfect home record (W10, D2), scoring over 1.5 goals per match in nine of 12 SA home outings this term. Meanwhile, although they’ve conceded just one goal in six consecutive home games across all competitions, the Bianconeri have allowed three goals (3-3 draw) to Parma in their last meeting at the Allianz Stadium. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s men have been ruthless against the bottom-five teams so far, securing all six triumphs while scoring 2+ match goals in each.

On the other hand, two victories in their previous three Serie A outings (W2, L1) have seen the retrunees coming just two points below the safety zone. Surprisingly, but all three of Frosinone’s SA triumphs have come away from home although just two teams have suffered more losses on the road than the Canaries (7) so far. Despite the fact Marco Baroni’s players have kept a clean sheet in all three successes – four in 12 SA road meetings, only four teams have shipped more goals away from home than the Giallazzurri (21) this campaign. A much bigger problem for the visitors could be that they’ve failed to hit the net on seven SA road trips, including the all four against the top-six sides.

What’s more, Juventus have outplayed Frosinone in four of their five H2H meetings in Serie A and Serie B (W4, D1), conceding just one goal while scoring eight in the process.
