Juventus vs Bologna 27/09/18

27 September 2018

After beating Frosinone on the road, harder than expected, Juventus will be facing off against Bologna, with the encounter scheduled to take place at the Allianz Stadium in midweek.

The Bianconeri are the only team in the Italian Serie A to secure all five victories, as they currently top the table with a 3-point lead over Napoli. The Turin-based outfit so far played two matches at home, defeating Lazio 2-0 and Sassuolo 2-1 in the process, while on the road, they defeated Chievo Verona, Parma, and the aforementioned Frosinone. Meanwhile, Massimiliano Allegri’s side also started the Champions League journey with a tight 2-0 triumph over Valencia at the Estadio Mestalla after Cristiano Ronaldo picked up a first-half red card.

On the other hand, I Rossoblu scored their first goals in the season last weekend, as they also wrapped up the first league victory thanks to a 2-0 win over AS Roma at home. Before that, the Greyhounds have suffered three defeats, to SPAL, Inter Milan, and Genoa, while they’ve played out a dry 0-0 draw with Frosinone. Filippo Inzaghi’s job is still on the line although it’s hard to expect his side can walk away from the Allianz Stadium undefeated.

Andrea Barzagli, Sami Khedira, and Leonardo Spinazzola are ruled outwith injuries, while Douglas Costa won’t be able to play due to a red card suspension. As for the visitors, Godfred Donsah, Filip Helander, and Rodrigo Palacio are struggling with injuries, while Erick Pulgar picked up a straight red card against Genoa and will have to remain on the stands.
