Juventus vs Atalanta 26/02/18

26 February 2018

For the first time in years, Juventus are forced to chase one team in Italy, thanks to brilliant performances from Napoli this season, but the Old Lady remains the main candidate to claim the Scudetto.
With only one point behind the Light Blues, the Turin giants need a victory against Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium to keep up the pace with Mauricio Sarri’s team. Juventus have won six out of their seven previous games at home in Serie A, allowing their opponents to score just two goals. After a nightmare 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League, which resulted in their elimination, the Goddess can now focus entirely on their commitments in the national championship. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side is looking to extend 6-game lossless streak away from Bergamo, which is going to be far from easy, considering they are set to face the strongest team in the league.

Juan Cuadrado and Blaise Matuidi are ruled out due to injuries, while the appearance of Mattia De Sciglio still hangs in the balance. However, Massimiliano Allegri is pleased to test Paulo Dybala from the first minute, since the Argentinean wizard returned to full fitness after long-standing injury.

Luca Rizzo has suffered a ruptured patellar tendon and will be sidelined until the end of March, but Gasperini’s principal concern is the absence of Rafael Toloi, who has accumulated five yellow cards.
