Jeonbuk Motors vs Daegu 24/05/20

24 May 2020

Jeonbuk Motors welcome Daegu to the Jeonju World Cup Stadium, looking to maintain a 100% start to the 2020/21 K League 1 season.

The hosts have started the new season off on the right foot, securing back-to-back triumphs, both by a single-goal margin, though. As a result, they are now unbeaten in ten consecutive league fixtures, last season included (W6, D4), with five of those six wins seeing them keep a clean sheet. In turn, the ‘Warriors’ have won four of their five previous league fixtures on home turf (D1), each without conceding a goal. But, that impressive form now faces a formidable challenge of a Daegu side, whom they’ve failed to beat in four of their last six K League 1 home H2H encounters (W2, D3, L1).

Meanwhile, the visitors have started the 2020/21 season with back-to-back draws, both of which have featured under 2.5 goals. Taking into account their results from the final stretch of the previous league campaign, Lee Byung-keun’s men have secured just a single win in their last seven league matches, home and away (D4, L2). For Daegu, goals have been at a premium during that period, as they drew a blank in four of those seven matches, scoring under 1.5 goals in two of the other three. However, they are unbeaten in eight consecutive league road trips (W3, D5), with six of those fixtures producing under 2.5 goals.
