Inter’s hopes of winning two Serie A titles in succession for the first time in over a decade are on thin ice as they head into the final weekend trailing table-topping AC Milan by two points. Despite winning their last three league matches by an aggregate score of 9-4 and coming into proceedings as odds-on favourites, ‘I Nerazzurri’ need help from Sassuolo to win another Scudetto. Full of confidence following a long-awaited Coppa Italia success, Inter are aiming to extend their four-game winning home league streak over Sampdoria. The reigning Italian champions have netted 2+ goals in each of those four H2H triumphs, while they boast the best scoring record in Serie A this season (81 goals), highlighting the potential for an action-packed contest.

In the meantime, Sampdoria have nothing but pride left to play for, yet it didn’t prevent them from denting Fiorentina’s Europa Conference League ambitions by beating them 4-1 last time out.
