Fiorentina vs Atalanta 30/09/18

30 September 2018

After suffering a 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan in midweek, Fiorentina will be facing off against Atalanta, with the match scheduled to take place at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.

The Viola have started the Serie A campaign off on the right foot, achieving two consecutive wins, over Chievo Verona and Udinese, at home, after which they’ve begun to fall. In the previous four league matches, Stefano Pioli’s team have only beaten SPAL, while they suffered two defeats,to Napoli and Inter, and played out a 1-1 draw with Sampdoria. Although they’ve won all three home games this year, Fiorentina failed to outplay Atalanta in the last two encounters in Florence, as Pioli hopes to end that streak already this weekend.

On the other hand, the Goddess have opened the season with a stunning 4-0 victory over Frosinone, which appears to be their only Serie A triumph so far. In the last five league clashes, the Bergamo-based club played out three draws and suffered two losses, only managing to keep a clean sheet once in the process. Additionally, the Black and Blues have conceded at least two goals in each of three away games they’ve played this year, as they are yet to clinch a win on the road.

According to the latest reports, both managers will have all of their players fit and ready for this weekend’s showdown.
