Dinamo Tbilisi vs Feyenoord 16/08/19

16 August 2019

A 4-0 first-leg defeat to Feyenoord leaves Dinamo Tbilisi with a little to hope for in the return leg of their Europa League Qualifiers tie that takes place at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena this midweek.

The hots have been impressive in the first two EL qualifying rounds, dumping out the Andorran outfit UE Engordany 7-0 on aggregate before eliminating the Azerbaijani side Gabala 5-0 on aggregate. A disastrous loss to Feyenoord last time out has brought Dinamo’s eight-game winning streak to a halt. Notably, seven of those triumphs have been accompanied by a clean sheet, with Blue-White scoring 2+ match goals six times in the process. Felic Vicente can still rely here on Dinamo’s impressive home form lately that has seen them pick up nine triumphs in their last 11 home outings across all competitions (W10, L1). Interestingly, nine of those games have produced over 2.5 goals with seven of them seeing both teams score.

Meanwhile, the visitors go into this encounter off the back of a 1-1 away stalemate with Heerenveen in the Eredivisie that was their third draw in the last five matches (W1, D3, L1). Four of those games have featured over 2.5 goals while three have seen Feyenoord score over 1.5 match goals. Also, De club aan de Maas are unbeaten in their last four away matches across all competitions (W3, D1), netting 12 goals while conceding just two in that period. For Feyenoord, most of the action in the 2019-20 campaign has taken part in the second half, as eight of ten goals in their three competitive games this term have arrived after the halftime break.
