Crystal Palace vs Man Utd. 06/03/18

07 March 2018

After five consecutive Premier League games without a victory, Crystal Palace will host Manchester United at the Selhurst Park, hoping to achieve a positive result to enhance their chances of avoiding relegation this season. The Red Devils are desperate to secure all three points to extend their lead over Tottenham and Chelsea, whom they beat 2-1 last weekend at the Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho’s team has every intention to end their 2-game losing streak away from “The Theatre of Dreams” following defeats to Newcastle and the Spurs. The Eagles, on the other hand, have only won three out of their previous ten home games and considering the fact they only have a one-point deficit to Southampton, the outcome of this game could be crucial to their campaign, mainly because they are going to play without a few key players.

Roy Hodgson looks to be in a great deal of trouble, as his squad is decimated by injuries suffered by Wilfried Zaha, Julian Speroni, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jason Puncheon, Scott Dann, Bakary Sako, Connor Wickham, and Yohan Cabaye. Therefore, the home side will face the third-placed team in the Premier League with half of the first-team members out.

Marouane Fellaini, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic won’t be available for the visitors due to injuries, while Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo could still find themselves on the list of travelers.
