Crvena Zvezda vs Paris Saint-Germain 12/12/18

12 December 2018

Crvena Zvezda and Paris Saint-Germain go head-to-head at the Stadion Rajko Mitic in Belgrade, with the visitors looking to get all three points and cement their place in the knockout phase of the Champions League.

Despite being labeled big underdogs in Group C, the brave Serbian outfit has managed to make things difficult for the heavyweights. What’s more, Vladan Milojevic’s players are yet to concede a goal at home after the first two games in Belgrade. Not only they have held Napoli to a scoreless draw on the opening matchday, but the Red-Whites have clinched an outstanding 2-0 home win over Liverpool, as they still have some chances of reaching the Europa League promotion. Although unbeaten at home, the Serbian SuperLiga holders have suffered two devastating defeats on the road this term, losing 6-1 to PSG at Parc des Princes before getting hammered by the Reds 4-0 at Anfield and 3-1 to Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

Widely recognized as the top candidates to lift Champions League trophy this year, the Parisians have offered too little by their standards so far. Apart from a tight 2-1 win over Liverpool last time out and the destruction of Crvena Zvezda, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have struggled to secure all three points in the remaining three European clashes. Having been held to two draws to Napoli, Thomas Tuchel’s men have suffered a 3-2 loss to the Reds on the opening matchday, which is why they now have to beat the Serbian team to ensure their passage to the knockout stage. However, even if PSG fail to outscore Red Star, they can still advance to the round of 16 if Napoli manage to avoid defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.

Provisional line-up – Crvena Zvezda:

Provisional line-up – Paris Saint-Germain:
