Celta Vigo and Villarreal go head-to-head at the Estadio de Balaídos in what promises to be a high-scoring La Liga (LL) affair. Indeed, all four of their previous top-flight H2Hs have witnessed over 3.5 goals and both teams on the scoresheet.

Although unbeaten in five consecutive league matches (W2, D3), the hosts enter this round frantically looking over their shoulders as they sit just a single point clear of 18th-placed Mallorca. Yet, Óscar García Junyent can rely upon his team’s six-game unbeaten LL home run (W2, D4) to boost Celta’s chances of beating the side they’ve managed to outplay just once in their last seven top-flight home H2Hs (D3, L3).
