Celta Vigo and Barcelona go head-to-head in an exciting La Liga contest at the Estadio de Balaídos this weekend, as the traveling side seek their first top-flight triumph at this venue since 2015.

Perhaps surprisingly, but the ‘Célticos’ have won three of their last four La Liga home H2Hs (D1), scoring over 1.5 goals in each of those clashes and netting a total of 12! Celta now take the field after racking up three successive league matches without a loss (W2, D1), all of which saw them keep a blank sheet. In turn, the hosts have conceded just once in their last seven La Liga outings (W3, D3, L1), with six of those games featuring under 1.5 total goals. Also, only four of Celta’s 15 league home matches this term have produced over 2.5 goals (26.67%), although seven have featured at least one goal before the halftime break. 

In the meantime, a narrow 1-0 home win over Athletic Club last time out gave Barcelona a fifth consecutive La Liga clean sheet (W4, D1), helping the Blaugrana remain level on points with table-toppers Real Madrid. But, the Catalan giants have been struggling in the final third during that five-game sequence, scoring under 1.5 goals on three of those occasions, with five of the eight goals they netted across those fixtures coming beyond the hour mark. What’s more, the reigning title-holders have drawn a blank in three of their last five La Liga road trips (W2, D1, L2), with each of those four results (win/loss) seeing the winner on the day score precisely twice in one half.
