CD Ebro vs Valencia 31/10/18

31 October 2018

The Segunda Division B side CD Ebro will host Valencia at La Almozara Stadium in the Copa del Rey round of 32.

Not only the hosts stand huge outsiders in this forthcoming clash, but they are also heading towards relegation in their respective competition, considering they sit nailed to the bottom of the table. The Arlequinados have played out four draws in the previous seven matches across all competitions, having achieved two triumphs in the process, including the one over Lleida in the previous Copa del Rey fixture. Known for a stubborn defensive performance and less than impressive attacking movements, Ebro have so far scored five and conceded ten goals in the opening ten league matches.

On the other hand, the Bats are struggling in La Liga, as they currently occupy the 14th place with just 11 points after the opening ten fixtures. Moreover, with a record of eight league draws and two more in the Champions League, the Oranges have played out more draws than any other team in the top five Europe leagues. Additionally, Marcelino Garcia Toral’s players have been held to five straight draws, including the one against Athletic Bilbao last weekend. With just seven goals notched so far, the Spanish heavyweights have the second-worst goal scoring record in the Spanish top flight after Betis.
