Busan vs Sangju Sangmu 06/06/20

06 June 2020

Busan and Sangju Sangmu go head-to-head at the Busan Gudeok Stadium in what could be a ‘low-scoring’ K League 1 affair. Indeed, six of their last seven top-flight H2Hs have featured less than three total goals.

The hosts are still chasing their elusive first league victory of the 2020/21 campaign (D2, L2), having scored under 1.5 goals in each of their opening four games of the season. Particularly vulnerable in the late stages, Busan have shipped three of their total five goals conceded in the final 20 minutes of play. Taking into account their results from the closing part of the last season, each of Busan’s seven previous league matches has produced under 2.5 goals. In turn, all four of their last top-flight home H2Hs with Sangju have featured under 2.5 goals, failing to pick up a single triumph in the process (D3, L1).

Meanwhile, the visitors have overseen an upturn in results since losing 4-0to Ulsan Hyundai in the league curtain-raiser, avoiding defeat in three subsequent matches (W2, D1). Each of those three games have featured under 2.5 goals, with half of their four goals scored across those fixtures coming inside the opening 25 minutes of play. ‘Low-scoring’ matches have been a common thing in Sangju’s recent away matches. In fact, five of their last seven competitive road trips have seen under 2.5 goals, although four have witnessed both teams on the scoresheet.
