Burnley will try to put an end to Manchester United’s nine-game unbeaten run in the Premier League (PL) H2Hs when the two sides lock horns at Turf Moor this weekend.

Burnley’s all-out approach has seen none of their previous 12 PL fixtures end in a stalemate (W5, L7), with three of their last league matches ending with the identical 1-0 scoreline (W2, L1). What’s more, the Clarets have won five of their nine top-flight home outings this season, losing the other four. Interestingly, while all five of their home wins so far saw Burnley shut out their opponents, each of their four home failures has witnessed them concede two or more goals. Keeping a blank sheet aside, Sean Dyche’s biggest problem here will be his team’s dismal H2H record against United recently. The Clarets have not only suffered three defeats in their last four top-flight H2Hs held here (W3, D1), but they’ve also drawn a blank in each of those clashes.

Meanwhile, the visitors have brushed Newcastle aside with a commanding 4-1 home win last time out to halt a two-game winless PL run (D1, L1). But, United’s slow league starts in the recent period could be setting them back here. The Red Devils have conceded the opener in five of their last seven PL matches, claiming six points from such fixtures (W1, D3, L1). Furthermore, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have picked up only one win in their previous four PL road trips (W1, D1, L2), with both of their defeats in that period seeing them draw a blank. By extension, all four of their top-flight away losses this season have seen United fail to find the back of the net, with all of them producing under 2.5 goals.
