Newly-promoted Brest welcome the reigning Ligue 1 (L1) holders Paris Saint-Germain to the Stade Francis-Le Blé looking to bounce back after a 1-0 away loss to Amiens last time out.

The returnees are one of two L1 sides that are yet to lose at home this term (W3, D3), with 12 of their total 17 PL points coming at the Stade Francis-Le Blé (70%). All three of Brest’s L1 home triumphs have been accompanied by a clean sheet, with ‘Les Ty’ Zefs’ scoring all of their winning goals inside one of the halves. Olivier Dall’Oglio’s men have proved to be a tough nut to crack on home turf, conceding just three of their total 14 L1 goals at this venue (21%). Brest can draw inspiration from their impressive home form when they take on the perennial champions they’ve lost to in five of six top-flight H2Hs since the turn of the new millennium (D1).

Meanwhile, PSG’s four-match L1 winning run has suffered a setback as relegation-threatened Dijon picked up a 2-1 home win last time out. As a result, the visitors have now lost two of six L1 away fixtures this term (W4) via the same 2-1 scoreline, even though they’ve opened the scoring on both of those occasions. Unable to find a desirable level of consistency on the road, Thomas Tuchel’s players have netted just 38% of their L1 goals scored away from home (ten of 26) and conceded 71% of the league goals shipped on the travels too (five of seven). But, if the Parisians do win here, it could see Brest draw a blank, as five of PSG’s six competitive wins this season saw them beat their rivals to nil.
