Brazil vs Panama 24/03/19

24 March 2019

Brazil and Panama will meet each other for a friendly challenge that will take place at the Estádio do Dragão in Portugal.

A team that has gone through drastic changes following the World Cup exit has so far managed to live up to expectations. The 5-time World Cup winners have won all six of their international friendlies after returning from Russia. In that period, Tite’s men have scored 12 goals while their impenetrable defense kept a clean sheet in each encounter. However, a lack of composure in the final third has seen all three of Brazil’s previous triumphs ending with the same 1-0 scoreline, with the Seleção failing to find the net in the first half twice in the process. The South American heavyweights now prepare for their third H2H clash with Panama in five years looking to stretch their winning run to three (W2).

Meanwhile, Los Canaleros are going through a disastrous period that has seen them lose nine of their last ten games (D1, L9) as they come into this meeting after suffering three successive defeats. Having exited the World Cup after the group stage with a humiliating record of three defeats and -9 goal difference (S2, C11), La Marea Roja have never managed to rise again. They have not only lost five of six games in the post-World Cup period but have also conceded 2+ match goals in each. Immense problems in the final third have seen the struggled to hit the net four times during the same sequence. Dely Valdés’ men will now try to score the first goal in their third H2H meeting with Brazil.
