Brazil vs Croatia 04/06/18

4 June 2018

At the Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, Brazil and Croatia will face each other as part of their final preparations before going to Russia. With twelve victories and only one defeat in eighteen qualifying games for the World Cup final tournament, Brazil finished top of the South American qualifiers zone, confirming they are the best Latin American side since the appointment of Tite as the head coach of the national team. The Canarinho have three wins out of four friendly games they’ve played this year, including a 1-0 victory over Germany, as they intend to continue the same way against the Balkans’ side. As for the Blazers, they’ve lost 2-0 to Peru before defeating Mexico 1-0 after a successful two-leg playoff against Greece, whom they’ve destroyed in Zagreb by four goals to one. It’s going to be the first international friendly in twelve years between the sides that opened the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with the hosts beating the European team 3-1 after coming back from a goal down.

The Seleção are desperate to see Neymar back to action against Croatia after almost six months of absence, while Zlatko Dalić hopes to have Modric and Kovacic fully prepared following their commitments in the Champions League Final.
