Bordeaux vs Paris Saint-Germain 28/09/19
28 September 2019
Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain will face-off at the Matmut Atlantique for a Ligue 1 (L1) showdown that will see the home side trying to post only their third league win at this venue since early April.
Although they’ve lost only once in the league this season, the hosts have won just three of seven L1 fixtures so far (W3, D3, L1). While all three of their league draws saw both teams score at least one goal, each of Bordeaux’s three L1 triumphs witnessed them come out on top by a comfortable two-goal margin. But, Les Girondins have been far from impressive at home lately, winning just one of their last six L1 home matches (W1, D2, L3) even though they’ve conceded one goal or less four times in that period.
Along with Angers, the Parisians are the only side in the French top-flight that is yet to play out a draw this term (W5, L2). PSG’s four-game winning L1 streak has been brought to a halt as Reims pulled off a stunning 2-0 win at Parc des Princes last time out. Interestingly, the reigning champions have conceded precisely two goals in both of their league losses so far while beating their rivals to nil in each of their five wins. Thomas Tuchel’s side will look to stretch their unbeaten run in L1 away H2Hs to five games (W2, D2) when they meet Bordeaux who last beat them in March 2015.
