The two struggling sides will face-off at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara as Bologna prepare to host Lazio desperate to end a 10-game winless Serie A run.

A poor haul of just six points (D6, L4) in their last ten Serie A outings has pushed Bologna to the relegation zone as Filippo Inzaghi’s men currently trail Udinese by one point. What’s more, the hosts have failed to wrap up all three points in their last four games at home (D3, L1). Only two teams have registered fewer league victories than Bologna (2) this season, with the Rossoblu already suffering eight defeats after the opening 17 Serie A fixtures. However, both of their successes have come at home with the Greyhounds beating Udinese and AS Roma. Bologna’s principal problem this season relates to their awful attacking displays that have seen Inzaghi’s players failing to hit the back of the net four times in their eight home matches so far.

Meanwhile, a 3-1 home win over Cagliari last weekend has seen Lazio ending a disastrous five-game winless run (D3, L2) as they now look to post back-to-back Serie A wins for the first time since October. However, the Biancocelsti are winless in their last four competitive road matches (D2, L2), having failed to keep a clean sheet in all four encounters. Lazio’s indifferent road form (W3, D2, L3) has seen them losing two out of their last five Serie A road games, with Simone Inzaghi’s men securing just one triumph in the process. Also, the Eagles’ defensive frailties have seen Thomas Strakosha failing to keep a clean sheet in six out of eight road meetings although he conceded more than one goal per match just twice on the road so far.
