Atalanta vs Udinese 31/03/18

31 March 2018

After demolishing Verona by five goals to nil, Atalanta will be hosting Udinese at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia looking to get back in the Europa Leauge promotion race, as they currently have six points deficit to AC Milan. Udinese, on the other hand, are desperate to end a dreadful 5-game losing streak, but given the fact they’ve lost four out of their five previous away games, it will be a difficult task especially considering that Atalanta only lost once in the last seven Serie A matches. The Goddess had a promising start of the season, but the Rossoneri took advantage of their drop in form to climb up to sixth place, which is why Gian Piero Gasperini’s side has left no room for mistakes anymore. Friulian White-blacks are still in the safe zone despite the awful form, but another defeat could complicate things for Massimo Oddo, who might be facing a farewell. The previous six encounters between these two sides ended with both teams scoring at least one goal. Atalanta’s last victory over Udinese dates back to 2013, after which they’ve failed to beat the Udine based club in nine consecutive games.
Leonardo Spinazzola has suffered a knee injury and will probably be watching the game from the stands, while Kevin Lasagna won’t be fit on the visiting side. Valon Behrami, who sustained a thigh injury might recover until the weekend. Antonin Barak has accumulated five yellow cards, and he will also skip the trip to Bergamo.
