Weekend’s Ligue 1 (L1) action concludes with a massive showdown between AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Louis II.

None of Monaco’s last eight L1 games has ended in a draw (W5, L3), with five of those matches producing over 2.5 goals and seeing both teams score. The hosts have climbed to 13th following a nightmarish start to the season, mainly thanks to an impressive home form. Far more comfortable at home, Leonardo Jardim’s men have scored 16 of their total 21 L1 goals at the Stade Louis II (76%), collecting 13 of their total 18 L1 points here too (72%). Indeed, Les Monégasques have racked up a four-game winning L1 home run, scoring at least three goals in three of those triumphs while keeping a clean sheet once. However, they now face a daunting prospect of beating PSG to whom they’ve lost in all nine of their previous competitive H2Hs.

The visitors have won back-to-back league matches in the build-up to this trip, scoring two goals apiece while conceding one in total. The Parisians are the only team in France’s top-flight that are yet to play out a draw this term (W11, L3), with two of those defeats coming away from home. Traveling across France has not been as comfortable as expected for the reigning holders so far. Thomas Tuchel’s players have not only conceded six of their total eight L1 goals away from home (75%), but three of their five L1 road triumphs came via a single-goal margin. Another potential worry for PSG could be a lack of away goals, given that they scored precisely one goal in four of seven L1 road trips this season.
